Paul's first letter to the Corinthians contains much wisdom and guidance for us today! It's amazing how issues facing the Corinthian church are similar, if not the same, to ones we face now. This 28-week study in 1 Corinthians was written as a 2-year study. So, this particular series takes an in-depth look at chapters 1-8 in 28 lessons. Later...much later...I'll post 1 Corinthians Part 2 that contains another 28 lessons on chapters 9-16.

The letter deals with issues every believer grapples with, and must come to terms with in their walk. Paul doesn't shy away from teaching them about God's very righteous judgment of unbelievers, the Day of the Lord, and how believers should live in light of our Lord's soon return. In this lesson we get to start digging into Paul's opening comments about the Thessalonians believers. What a privilege to eavesdrop on those words. We'll be encouraged and motivated by the Thessalonians--even in these opening verses!
The primary goal of this week's lesson is observation. It's amazing how this simple Bible study skill can yield such great results. Taking the time to "observe" the chapter and really see it's structure and contents helps us handle God's Word accurately. It builds a reverence for the Scriptures and gives us confidence as we study. I hope you'll grow to love this process as much as I do! Prayerfully seek the Lord's help as you do!
Every book of the Bible turns out to be our favorite when we dig into God's Word. The first letter to the Thessalonians is no exception. This church was near and dear to Paul's heart and it comes through in every verse. He loved these dear believers! Learn how to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord the way the Thessalonians did.
